BRUTOPIA 1

This series grew out of photographs I took in Split 3, a monumental modernist neighbourhood built in Croatia during the Yugoslav era. Its immense residential structures felt radically different from the historic architecture of Split, yet they were designed around something very ordinary: everyday life, families and community.
I started from these real places and slowly transformed them — exaggerating their scale, atmosphere and geometry until they became fragments of another world.
Somewhere between memory and fiction, utopia and dystopia, these images are my attempt to turn a real architectural experience into an imagined city.
